Through the Years

• Independent Unity, of Grand Junction, Colorado, began around 1950 as a study group in the home of Dean and Mabel Donaldson.
• Under the name, Unity Church, the group broke ground on August 7, 1957 on 1.7 acres donated by the Donaldsons.
• The first service was held in the new building on February 2, 1958 followed by a dedication service three months later.
• In January of 1965, the church purchased an additional 1.6 acres which was sold in 2019.
• Through the years the ministry has gone through numerous leaders and a number of name changes, with our current name, Independent Unity, being adopted December 1, 2019.
• Our building sold and we closed on our new property at 2793 Skyline Court, #C.
