[Click for audio: The Healing Principle]

As a spiritual being, I am complete right now. My wholeness radiates through my mind, my body, and my affairs.

The paradigm of oneness is, by default, biased toward healing. The soul is in a perpetual interactive state with its source, God, and is always united with the cornerstones of health: life, power, love, and intelligence.

Because we place much of our identity in the body, we also associate our notion of health with the body rather than with the soul. It doesn’t help matters that much of our medical science sees the soul as a product of the brain/body rather than seeing the body as the vehicle that the soul inhabits for a time. From this body-oriented point of view, we can only be as healthy as the body. Seeing God and the soul as the source of our health lifts the restrictions of attitudes toward healing that are often dictated by our aches and pains.

In your quiet times, a helpful visualization is to think of your soul as a brilliant, radiating center of light that is now shedding its healing rays out through your body. Think of any ailment as a shadow that is naturally and easily being erased by the light that you are. Do not think of healing as a thing you have to do. Think of it as a natural act of letting go and letting your light of wholeness shine. See your body engulfed cocoon-like in the rich light of your soul.

The same principle holds true with our larger body of circumstances. We build much of our identity from the outside in, seeking to draw from without that which is already complete within. Think of yourself as a center of dynamic energy rippling out into your world like the concentric circles of waves over a pool set in motion by a dropped pebble. Your wholeness moves effortlessly through your body and your circumstances, bringing life, love, power, and order through all that concerns you.

Use this affirmation often throughout your day:

As a spiritual being, I am complete right now. My wholeness radiates through my mind, my body, and my affairs.

Practice this shift of perception in every circumstance throughout your day until it becomes habitual. You are complete. Let your light shine.
